If you’ve ever worked for a large company or the government, you probably are familiar with “fiscal years.” You see, to some businesses, the regular old January-to-December slog just doesn’t cut it. For a variety of reasons, they need the year to start at a different part of the year than January 1.
The football world is no different. While seasons start in the fall and practice ramps up in the summer, I think the NFL Draft is the true end to the players’ football year. Pigskinology.com is excited for another year of football to predict, evaluate, and learn from. Schedules and rosters are set, and as of today, everyone is 0-0.

- NFL teams do a modest job picking QBs based on their pro performance
- Draft pick number is only a mild predictor of a QB’s NFL performance.
